Isle of Skye Summer elopement

The most beautiful Isle of Skye summer elopement story. On perhaps the hottest day of summer 2021 on the morning of his much awaited elopement wedding Mike looked at me and said ” a tweed suit was a mistake!”. It was a gorgeous suit – but who could have known that the Isle of Skye would put on such a show for their elopement day – and Mike sweltered with the rest of us!

Adelle, Mike and I had a long time to get to know each other. Their wedding was originally planned for the earliest days of the UK covid lockdown and the date has changed time and again since. Their wedding day with family and friends is not until 2022 but they could wait no more and in summer 2021 they eloped to the Isle of Skye.

A simple, moving ceremony by a deserted loch and then photos in hidden corners of north Skye as we made our way to picnicing at the ruins of Duntulm Castle as we waited for sunset.
