“The first time I saw Anna she was riding a bike with a lobster on the back” One of my favourite lines in a groom’s speech!
The Isle of Canna is an incredibly special place. An oasis in the small isles  a long stone’s throw from the Isle of Skye with a tiny permanent population and an incredibly big heart and community spirit. All of that came together to make and celebrate Anna and Martin’s wedding day (date 3 or was it 4?) one summer day after wedding restrictions were lifted.
Even before arriving at the tiny port I had met up with a large portion of family travelling to the wedding via Calmac from Mallaig and we chatted the whole trip long. 3 hours sailing in the some of the most beautiful landscapes past the Isle of Skye and towards the Isle of Canna had never flown by so quickly, nor had a commute to a wedding been more beautiful.
3 days of celebration ensued.

Isle of Canna Wedding day

After an open air wedding rehearsal I left the wedding party to eat together while I roamed the island. I ended the evening dancing in delight on a white sand beach as turquoise seas hushed towards my toes.
Everyone on the island seemed to be involved, from hosting guests Canna Campsite to preparing the wedding feast and many decorating installations from Cafe Canna .Hosting the girls getting ready at Tighard House .Murdo’s chaffeur service and so many more!
Canna charms it’s visitors and the delight at being there to celebrate the wedding of this island couple Anna (who  is not only the local postmistress but also runs her own design company)  and Martin ( a teacher on the neighbouring island of Eigg) was abundant. I can only share the tiniest snippet of the day here but swipe for a flavour of the day and smile at the lobsters that joined the feast courtesy of visiting fishermen from Tiree who had heard of the wedding!
From dawn to dusk Anna and Martin’s Isle of Canna wedding celebration was a riot of colour and design from the land and the sea and Anna’s creativity
