Isle of Skye elopement Dunscaith Castle wedding photography

Stephany and Chris flew from America to marry by the sea at the ancient ruins of Dunscaith Castle overlooking the Cuillin mountain ridge with their parents and Stephany’s brother. The chose an interfaith ceremony that incorporated the celtic rituals of handfasting, ring warming and toasting their marriage with a quaich. It is always a privilge to be asked to document such an intimate day.

After meeting for a long and chatty coffee the day before their wedding we spent the morning of the wedding getting ready and relaxing at the couple’s hotel. Enjoyed time at Dunscaith Castle then drove along the coast to explore the pools near Torrin and enjoy the views across the loch to Bla Bheinn.
