Wild and romantic adventure and elopement photography on the Isle of Skye

Les and Amanda’s Isle of Skye elopement

Les and Amanda eloped from Maine to the shores of Loch Coruisk on the Isle of Skye. Marrying at a location only accessible by boat, in Skye, in late October could be seen as a bit of a gamble but for this outdoor loving couple with a well developed sense of adventure everything fell into place. Some gentle rain that kept us indoors on the morning of their wedding day cleared as the time for the wedding approached and although the beautiful Misty Isle pitched and rolled a little as we left the tiny pier at Elgol it was plain sailing for the rest of the day. The striking autumn colours around the loch were intense and beautiful and the solitude and privacy for this tiny intimate wedding was exceptional. Look out for the cute photo the couple created to announce that their family was expanding from 2 to 3!

  • […] These photos + the adventure they capture are a good argument for eloping on the Isle of Skye instead of having a big wedding. I found this photographer because she went to Jordan with World Vision this month as part of a campaign to bring awareness to refugees in winter, asking the rest of us to go barefoot and coatless on February 10th to encourage giving for refugees.
