Wild and romantic elopement and wedding photography on the Isle of Skye For those who adventure

Glencoe and Glen Etive Photo Shoot

Much as I love photographing on the Isle of Skye it was a delight to be asked to head off island for the day and to meet Laura and her husband and best friend for a photoshoot in Glencoe and Glen Etive. Their trip to Scotland from Germany coincided with the arrival of the Beast from the East. Luckily the west coast was largely unaffected and we were able to travel and meet at the Kings House Hotel one morning. The snow on the hills and the light were beautiful – the absolutely cutting north wind was challenging!

Glencoe Itinerary

We met at the King’s House Hotel where there are a herd of resident tame deer. I knew Laura, Chris and Hannah would love to meet them! Then we enjoyed really unusual splendid isolation at the beautiful waterfalls below Buchaille Etive Mor (thanks to the drone photographer who waited patiently for us ) before road tripping through Glen Etive and sighting many more deer and impossibly beautiful landscapes. Back on the main road we stopped for more photographs featuring the girls new matching tattoes, the incredibly snowy peaks, and more bitter winds! Finally we headed to Ballachullish for very welcome hot chocolate and cakes.
