Wild and romantic adventure and elopement photography on the Isle of Skye

Finding a secret spot for a summer elopement on the Isle of Skye

This couple sneaked away to Skye for their wedding with only 5 of their immediate family. Eloping to Skye was an easy decision but their approach to finding the spot for their elopement was innovative! Using google maps they pin-pointed a tiny beach with amazing views over the Sound of Sleat – from their they worked their way inland and found their accommodation close by. It was lovely to have visitors to Skye reveal me to a secluded piece of our beautiful island that I had not visited before. It was a sparkling August morning as we scrambled down to the beach. The boys kilts and the bride’s gorgeous red wedding dress swished through the lush green landscape and made a splash of vibrant colour on the Skye shore line. Most sparly of all were the flower girl’s glittery red shoes – very definitely one of the highlights of her day. The simple elopement service conducted by a local registrar mixed tears and laughter. After photographs on the beach we wandered back to KnoydART B & B for champagne and cake cutting before the wedding party headed for a wedding breakfast at Kinloch Lodge Hotel. The essence of their Isle of Skye elopement was family, vows and celebrating with the best of Skye’s landscapes and fine dining. A perfect day.   Accomodation : KnoydART B & B Wedding Breakfast: Kinloch Lodge Hotel
