Wild and romantic elopement and wedding photography on the Isle of Skye For those who adventure

Joyful September elopement to Loch Coruisk, Isle of Skye.

A photographer’s elopement to Loch Coruisk. I really want to let the photographs tell the story of this elopement in the Skye wilderness at Loch Coruisk, but looking back at the images and the joy and happiness makes me want to share a little of the back story. I was utterly delighted and somewhat overwhelmed when amazing photographer Jo asked me to photograph her wedding to the lovely Mike. Jo and I had known each other on social media for a few years and I admire her portraiture as well as her warm, down to earth personality and wicked sense of humour. Jo and Mike threw themselves into personalising their wedding. They planned the most intimate ceremony that was exactly what they wanted, made their wedding rings, learned how to create a bouquet and buttonhole and they charmed everyone they met on their day. I spent the entire day (which was the sunniest September trip ever!) beaming. This is what Skye elopements are made of. Mountains, big love and adventure.

What beautiful photographs, Jo and Mike’s visit to Skye delighted and inspired us all through their delightful personal touches and your stunning photography. It’s lovely to see these pictures on line but makes me want to visit Jo and see them in the printed form always the best way to see a photograph.

    Thanks for sharing with us.ReplyCancel
