When Karen and Sam decided that their wedding would take place only 6 weeks after their engagement, it sounded, at first like a slightly impossible task. Yet with an instinct for planning and a huge burst of creativity from Karen they created the most beautiful family wedding in the Scottish Highlands.
Most important was to share their day with their immediate families in the area that Sam’s family and late father loved. They found a gorgeous house that offered accomodation for all, outdoor space for their humanist ceremony and a kitchen that allowed them to bring in professional caterers to take the strain of preparing a wedding breakfast for 12. One of the couple’s key guest was their beautiful dog and their parents dogs it was important that they were included in the day too.
The detail and love that Karen put into decorating the house and creating a wedding in 6 weeks was quite phenomenal – Etsy, Not on the High Street were key finds with pinterest inspirations and her own sense of style that created a unique venue quite the couple’s own.
Married at the house tucked away in the hills near Strontian, after the service we headed off for a photo shoot at the beach and in the nearby village with only a piper, the couple’s beloved dog and Sam’s much loved Land Rover.
