Wild and romantic adventure and elopement photography on the Isle of Skye

A year of wedding photography on the Isle of Skye 2016

2016 has been the most extraordinary year. For Love Skye Photography it has been absolutely crammed to the brim with weddings and elopements and I’ve had the joy of working with an amazing international group of  clients. The draw of the Isle of Skye as a wedding destination seems to grow daily and in 2016 brides and grooms came from Australia, New Zealand, America, Taiwan, Singapore, China, the Maldives, the United States, France, Germany, Spain, Sweden and Czech Republic and of course England, Scotland and Skye!

I have photographed at castles at sunset and on beaches at sunrise, elopements with just the couple where I have also had the privledge of witnessing their wedding to weddings with 250 and dancing until dawn. Although I grew up on Skye I never realised that I would be lucky enough to spend my days sailing to Loch Coruisk, scrabbling around in the Quirang, walking the Fairy Pools and climbing to the Old Man of Storr all in the name of work on the happiest of days. It has been a pleasure of  a year from start to finish.

Personally my blogging work and family travels have taken me to Jordan, Iceland, Greece and London and I can’t wait for the travels we have planned for next year. A new blog in the planning is Life on Skye and before it launches you can follow our daily adventures on Instagram at @lifeonskye and @portraitsskye

An enormous thank you to all the lovely brides and grooms I have worked with this year – it has been just amazing to meet you all and share time together – and a huge thank you to the celebrants, pipers, harpists, hair and make up artists, wedding co-ordintators, florists, cake makers, bands and wedding venues and all the people who make these wedding days so fun – I love working with you and look forward to seeing you all again in 2017.

Skye is like my idea of heaven but it’s you that brings the magic Rosie and keeps your work more than just an epic backdrop. These are wonderful xReplyCancel
