Elope to the Isle of Skye

A passionate and experienced Isle of Skye Elopement and wedding photographer I love to photograph elopements and small intimate weddings and I can truly think of nowhere more beautiful for your elopement wedding than the Isle of Skye. Creating and documenting images of both your ceremony and your portraits and our big beautiful landscape on the day of your wedding makes mine, quite simply, my dream job.

Whatever form your wedding ceremony takes it can be held in one of the many beautiful Skye locations that I have grown up knowing and photographing. From Loch Coruisk to the Quiraing, climbing to the spectacle of the Old Man of Storr, on one of Skye's stunning beaches or in the lee of the Cuillin there will be a place that is perfectly you. There are so many secret, hidden away spots - far from the tourist trail that I can introduce you to as part of your day - as well as all the best spots for coffee and cake!

When you elope to Skye we often begin the day with photos of getting ready at your accommodation and then your walk or drive (or boat trip!) to your location, your journey, the ceremony, and then some beautiful portraits and couple images featuring our great big beautiful landscape. You might wish to add on images of an evening meal or drinks party or to consider a post wedding shoot at some other Skye locations to make the most of our amazing landscapes.

I know how difficult it can be to plan your wedding when you are eloping from a distance and I am happy to assist by suggesting locations and timings and to help you find other local wedding suppliers on Skye.

Photographer's life on Skye

We're Rosie and Andrew and we live in Breakish on the Isle of Skye, the village where Rosie grew up, with our 2 children and 3 rescue dogs.

Working with the spectacular light and landscapes of the west coast with couples and families who share our passion for Skye’s scenery and lifestyle is our every day. We are thrilled that so many couples travel internationally to share our love of Scotlands's big landscapes.

When we're not photographing elopement weddings and families we explore Skye, Rosie run for miles every week whatever the elements, Andrew revels in films and music and weekends involve beaches, getting muddy on trails and bikes or cheering at the side of the shinty or football pitch. As a family we love to travel - the more dramatic the landscape the better. Over the past 18 months Barcelona, Crete and Iceland have been among our favourite destinations.

Rosie blogs at Truly Madly Kids and it's there that she shares another of my passions telling the stories of refugees through my work with the charity World Vision. Visiting Jordan and meeting Syrian refugees was a personal and photographic highlight of 2016.

Visualising stories and bringing them to life for others and for the future is what we do. Being able to do that in on the amazing Isle of Skye where the light and landscapes is so breathtaking makes us happy to simply be.
