Kim and Dave decided to elope to Skye with their beautiful daughter Freya. As we chatted about their plans on email their guest list grew a few arms and legs and they ended up eloping with 10 of their family. From Australia. It was a wonderful act of committment from their family and it was a truly warm and wonderfully welcoming family day.
From early morning getting ready at Isle of Skye Cottages including a very emotional facetime with Kim’s sister back home in Australia, through a windswept ceremony on the beach under the honeycomb rock at Elgol, through drinks and nibbles (and the stinkiest cheese ever) with a backdrop of the Cuillin, sneaking away for a breathtaking couple’s photo shoot, to the most amazing wedding dinner at Coruisk House this group swept me along in an infectious mood of chatter and high spirits. After a last hopeful dash to the shore for some sunset images (it wasn’t to be) I finally left the party still going strong at around 11pm.
