Couple photo shoot Isle of Skye Scotland
Victoria and Matt reached out to commission a Couple photo shoot Isle of Skye Scotland in ” the most beautiful place in the world” while exploring the Highlands of Scotland this fall. The couple are normally behind the lens day to day and wanted to capture this special time and create images that speak to this moment in their lives. Moments when they have stepped out of their regular lives and roles and connected again and revelled in their shared exploration of a new country.
We threw around all sorts of ideas and locations for their shoot. The Quiraing, the Fairy Pools, the Old Man of Storr. All beautiful – all famous – but I was thrilled when they placed their trust in me to guide them on the old drover route from Broadford to Elgol – at just the time of day when the light is golden and the mountains darken.
We visited ancient landscapes, marble waterfalls and pools and finally the epic setting that is Elgol with it’s unparalleled views across the sea to the Cuillin mountain ridge. At one stop, on the shores of Loch Slapin beneath Bla Bheinn we were thrilled to bump into artist Richard Hoare, who was painting en plein air. He kindly gave his time (and some of that precious golden light) to talk about his work and travels.
I am so grateful for days like these.
Wowzers! Beautiful work Rosie!
Thank you Hannah!
