Elopement wedding photography Fairy Glen and Quiraing, Isle of Skye
” Those are absolutely amazing!!! Today could not have been any more perfect. These are so perfect! Thank you so much for everything!”
Elopement wedding photography Fairy Glen and Quiraing Isle of Skye. Giddy, happy words that I love to hear from a bride on the day of her wedding. But, of course, it’s not just the photography – it was the people and the places and Kelsey and Will’s sheer undiluted happiness and enthusiasm for all things Isle of Skye that made their day so perfect.
Eloping from American with a clear vision of a simple wedding ceremony outdoors amidst Skye’s dramatic scenery the couple chose an early morning ceremony at the Fairy Glen. Registrar Liz conducted the service and piper Alan and I were the witnesses. Pared down, simple and perfect for this couple – the ceremony was such a joy to photograph.
After the ceremony we listen to Alan play the pipes – I remember travellers stopping all round the glen to hear the tune – and then we explored the Fairy Glen, climbing Castle Ewan and making friends with the sheep that roam the area! Next, a muddy clamber to the Secret Waterfall – which as so often – we had completely to ourselves.
We then visited the Quiraing – for a hike along the path below the landslip created terrain with it’s spectacular views across the sea to Torridon and south to the Old Man of Storr. Pausing at the fabulous coffee and food stand for a warming lunch we finished the day on the beautiful Staffin beach – Kelsey could not have cared one jot as waves tumbled over her gown and her train dragged in the black sands of the beach.
